La Gran Francia occupies a colonial house in the old center of Granada, a short walk from Parque Central. Historians trace the building to the first years of the city, which was founded in 1524, and a restoration in the 1990s gave it its present form. Today the main house holds the restaurant El Arcángel, Bristol Coffee House and an event hall, Salón Pablo Antonio Cuadra.
The 35 air-conditioned rooms are in two other buildings. Los Balcones stands directly across the street, keeps the neoclassical lines of the Spanish colonial period and has 21 rooms in four types, among them Colonial Double and Colonial Simple. It is also where the pool is. ROUGE by La Gran Francia is the second building.
