Hacienda Puerta del Cielo is a small eco-lodge and spa in Masatepe, beside Masaya Volcano National Park. It has casitas, a honeymoon suite, a family suite and guestrooms, a Lazy River pool and spa treatments given in your own casita. The hotel runs transfers from Managua airport (MGA).

Hacienda Puerta del Cielo sits on the rim of an ancient caldera near Masatepe, at the edge of Masaya Volcano National Park. The park and Masaya Lagoon both border the property, so the view from the terraces and private decks runs across forest, water and the volcano itself. It is a small, quiet place.

Rooms come in four types: guestrooms, casitas, a family suite and a honeymoon suite. Casa Linda, the honeymoon suite, has a Jacuzzi tub, an outdoor shower and a wooden deck with hammocks that opens onto the Lazy River pool. Casa Maya, the family suite, is the only unit with one or two bedrooms and is set up for up to four people.

Breakfast is included, and dinners are served alfresco on the terrace facing the volcano. JC's Bar handles drinks, with a swim-up tiki bar at the pool. Spa treatments are given in your casita or on your deck, and they need to be booked ahead. The hotel arranges transfers from Managua airport, Granada, Masaya, San Juan del Sur and the ferry terminal at San Jorge.
