About Little Corn Beach & Bungalow

Little Corn Beach & Bungalow is a beachfront lodge on Cocal Beach, Little Corn Island, about 50 miles off Nicaragua's Caribbean coast. It offers five bungalow types, the Turned Turtle Bar and Restaurant, and massages on the sand. Guests fly to Corn Island (RNI), then cross by open boat in about 30 minutes.

Little Corn Beach & Bungalow sits on Cocal Beach, on the east side of Little Corn Island, where there are no cars, motorcycles or golf carts. Some bungalows stand on the sand, others a short walk back in the gardens. Each has a private veranda and a bathroom with a hot shower. Hammocks, Adirondack chairs and beach loungers are spread among the palms.

The two largest types are the Master Suite Gulliver bungalows, at 640 square feet. The beach version sleeps up to five, with a king bed and a double bed in a sleeping loft. The garden version is fully screened, a 45-second walk from the water, and sleeps four. Smaller Crusoe bungalows and a five-bed family bungalow complete the range.

Meals are at the Turned Turtle Bar and Restaurant, run by an all-Nicaraguan team. The hotel's activity pages cover scuba diving, snorkeling, sport fishing, kayaking, paddleboarding, kiteboarding and hikes, and you can book a massage or pedicure on the beach. To arrive, fly to Corn Island, then take the open boat across. Staff will meet you at the dock if you tell them your boat in advance.

Little Corn has no cars, motorcycles or golf carts, so every transfer on the island is on foot.
Check-out is at 9:30 AM, and on departure day the hotel helps you to the dock one hour before the scheduled boat.
